Lock Down Music Classes
Updated: Sep 29, 2020
Hi. My name is Beth and I’m 8 years old.
I started the Miniature Music Academy in March 2020 but I could only go to 1 group session at Airthrie (Cheltenham Music Academy) because of lockdown.
This made me sad, but then Zaphira organised lots of online sessions.
Now lockdown has finished and we could meet there again on Saturday – it was lots of fun. We did our own version of The Billy Goats Gruff.
So I play the ukulele (I’m so ukulele mad that I made my own ukulele t-shirt), the recorder a little bit and I like singing too.
I did a little bit of ukulele at my infants’ school but I’ve learned LOADS with Zaphira. All through lockdown we had group sessions and 1:1 lessons on Zoom.
We learned about different musicians and composers, we made musical instruments and made our own music.
We even made our own music video for the song from Room on the Broom. I'm the witch!
I was a bit shy to begin with but now I know everyone really well. I like Zoom because we can also chat. This is good when a new person starts.
I’m really happy that we can meet face-to-face at the moment, but I think my 1:1 lessons on Zoom were good and I’m looking forward to doing them again.
We can still do group sessions like that if we have to do lockdown again.
